CW Consulting Limited was formed in 2016 and there are presently 3 directors, Jeremy Callin, Jonathan Wild and Gordon Wilson.
Gordon is the Managing Director and has overall responsibility for operations, client service and business development. Jeremy and Jonathan provide strategic direction and oversight as appropriate.
Jonathan Wild is an Advocate and Commissioner for Oaths. Jonathan is the head of litigation at Callin Wild LLC and deals primarily with large or complex litigious matters, often involving both local and international work.
Jonathan has worked on major cross-border insolvencies; including Savings and Investment Bank and B.C.C.I. as well as litigation of Isle of Man companies concurrent with Chapter 11 proceedings in the USA.
Jonathan has also worked on a broad variety of general contentious civil cases including derivative actions, shipping disputes, EU law restrictive practices, professional negligence claims and planning enquiries. He also acts for the Scheme Manager of the Isle of Man’s Depositors Compensation Scheme.
Jonathan is currently acting in a number of high profile directors duties cases before both the Isle of Man and English Courts.
Jonathan is the exclusive representative for Fraudnet for the Isle of Man. Fraudnet is a specialist network of leading fraud and financial crime lawyers worldwide and is part of the Commercial Crime Services Division of the International Chamber of Commerce.
Jonathan is experienced in obtaining interlocutory relief including freezing orders and disclosure orders, both locally and co-ordinating multi-jurisdictional applications.
Jonathan is a former President of the Isle of Man Law Society
Jeremy Callin is an Advocate, Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths.
He is the senior partner of Callin Wild LLC. Jeremy was called to the Manx Bar in April 1988.
He was President of the Isle of Man Law Society (2005-2007) Vice President (2003-2005) and Council member (2002-2003).
He is Company Secretary to the Douglas Development Partnership a partnership between Local Government, Central Government and the private sector to improve the Island’s capital.
He is Returning Officer for the House of Keys constituency of Onchan (2009 to date) and former Returning Officer for North Douglas (2005-2009).
He is a former Acting Chairman of the Employment Tribunal and is a member of the Advocates Disciplinary Tribunal (2007 to date).
Jeremy deals with a wide range of commercial and trust litigation (including mediations and arbitrations) together with advisory work including most aspects of corporate, company and insolvency law. He is an international member of the Chancery Bar Association.
He also has a substantial advisory practice in local government law and finance work. Jeremy is retained by Douglas Borough Council the Isle of Man’s largest local authority and a number of other authorities.
He acted for the Joint Administrators of Polly Peck International Plc and has represented the Liquidators of Savings and Investment Bank Limited, the Administrators of BCCI, the Receiver of European Life and Pensions and the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission. He has also acted for Isle of Man Bank Limited and acted as lead Isle of Man Counsel for the vendors in the sale of The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Limited.
Gordon Wilson is a chartered accountant and qualified insolvency practitioner. He is Managing Director of CW Consulting Limited.
Since qualifying as an accountant in Scotland in 1992, Gordon has gained substantial experience in business and in managing complex projects, particularly turnaround and insolvency related.
Early in his career, Gordon was financial controller in a property development company which built student accommodation throughout the UK. He then joined a large firm of architects as turnaround manager.
Gordon relocated to the Cayman Islands in 1999 and spent over 5 years with Deloitte in their financial advisory department where he was primarily responsible for the liquidation of EuroBank, a Cayman bank and trust company. He also gained experience in a number of hedge fund liquidation cases.
He joined Caledonian in the Isle of Man in 2005 as managing director of their European hedge fund administration operation. Over 5 years, he built a successful business focusing on special situations and distressed hedge funds.
Gordon joined PwC in the Isle of Man in late 2010 as a director of their advisory business and in 2012 he was appointed as joint liquidator on Louis Group, a sizable property and financial services group. He managed the Louis Group liquidation project for 4 years, dealing with property realisations all over Europe as well as leading the investigation into director conduct and implementing a complex compromise arrangement prior to distributions to investors.
Whilst at PwC, Gordon lead the firm’s relationship with Isle of Man Government, carrying out a number of discrete assignments over the years.
He joined CW Consulting Limited as co-founder in June 2016.
